The Panoramic X-ray is an x-ray that is digitally taken. The machine rotates around your head to give Dr. Kemp a picture of your teeth, jaws and other important information. It is especially effective in viewing development, position and eruption of teeth. Our digital x-ray machine significantly decreases the exposure time reducing radiation. This process is also better for the environment as it doesn’t use photo chemicals and traditional film thus eliminating waste. Dr. Kemp always uses the latest technology available to insure his patients’ are taken care of the best possible way.
The Cephlometric X-ray is a digital x-ray designed to evaluate jaw alignment. Cephlometric analysis allow Dr. Kemp to study relationships between bony and soft tissue landmarks and can be use to diagnosis facial growth abnormalities and be used in the treatment planing of your treatment.
Digital facial and intraoral photos will be taken in the beginning of treatment for the use of treatment planning. Digital dental photographs produce high quality images allowing us to document the transformation of your smile.
The impression is the first step in making a model of your teeth. A tray is filled with a rubber type material. This tray is placed in your mouth and held against your teeth until it hardens which produces a mold of your teeth. This mold is then filled with plaster to form a model of your teeth.
